The Tunisian currency is the Tunisian Dinar (TND).
1 dinar has 1,000 (one thousand) millimes.

The import and export of Tunisian dinars is forbidden, so a currency exchange must take place in Tunisia.

In Tunisia, all major currencies can be exchanged into local currency (dollar, euro, pound, franc, ruble, etc.).

Money that has been exchanged for Tunisian dinars in Tunisia, but has not been used up, can only be exchanged when leaving the country if exchange receipts are presented (up to a maximum of 3,000 dinars)!

A currency exchange is possible at any airport, in almost every hotel and every bank, the exchange rates differ only slightly and change daily.

There are numerous ATMs in Tunisia that accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro) (but beware: NOT for V-PAY, which is used in German Postbank account cards, for example!). All disbursements are made in Tunisian dinars only.
