What are the water temperatures in Tunisia?

In Tunisia, it is year-round about 10-20 degrees Celsius warmer than eg. in Western Europe.

The sun shines almost every day. Along the coasts, there is usually a light to stiff wind from the sea during the day, which provides a little refreshment in summer, but gives you goose bumps in winter.

Rainy days are very rare in the interior and in the south, but will occur on the east coast - where almost all tourist regions in Tunisia are located.
In the north, where the climate is Mediterranean, there are even frequent rains.

Inland, temperatures of over 40 degrees Celsius wil be easily reached in the summer (but there is also low humidity going along with it).

In winter, the temperatures in the western mountainous regions of Tunisia can fall to below zero degrees Celsius and there it could even be snowing in rare cases.

The water temperatures allow bathing and swimming at temperatures of over 22 degrees Celsius from April to November. The highest water temperatures in July and August can be up to 33 degrees Celsius. In January and February, the sea can cool down to just over 10 degrees Celsius.

The UV index in Tunisia is quite high; The sun has strong effects and can cause a sunburn within a few minutes. For eg. North and Central Europeans a suitable sun protection and the avoidance of the midday sun is strongly recommended!
